shak
Hi Shak,
I am afraid my schedule of retreat in Birmingham hasn't been materialised and I don't have an on going class either. However, if you and your mom consider to have a nice holiday in Thailand in December and you can take an opportunity to join my retreat there between 4-7 Dec. 08. The cost is US$250 inclusive. The venue will be in a brand new resort with spectacular view of lake and mountain. I haven't got the pictures on my website yet but will post soon. You can view my previous retreat activities and feedback from my website forum http://www.supawangreen.in.th/forum/index.php and the details of retreat activities on www.hereandnowhoilday.com
Please note that I only use Tai chi qi gong as a means to assist people to find their true self and eternal peace so that individuals can be totally stress-free.
I hope you will consider this invitation.
Best regards,
supawan |

Feedback
I found that Supawan Green writing is very powerful and has touched me profoundly. She introduces the noble subject "The Ultimate Truth" in simple and friendly terms that laypersons without much Buddhism knowledge are able to understand clearly.
Dr. Supranee Wang from the USA
I can state that without a shadow of doubt I am convinced that Supawan has achieved the goal which all Buddhists are striving for..... Enlightenment! All my past study and practice has given me enough wisdom to be able to judge this from reading her works.
Fred Blandford from England
Supawan is a successful Vipassana practitioner; she has set herself a good example for all of us. I admire her persistence and dedication towards her Buddhist practice through her 17 years of life as a housewife and a part-time Tai chi teacher.
Dr. Jianhui Xoung from China
Sue, Thanks again for providing an excellent experience last weekend. I was thinking that your retreat format might be very useful for the business or corporate leadership, consider how many lives are affected by top management decisions. Corporate culture in most companies is a shambles, controlled by overworked, bottom line managers fearful of their positions if numbers aren't exceeded on a regular basis or if the boss gets mean. The message I received during the course of the retreat was very powerful, even if it was designed or slanted towards the corporate mind set I don't believe it would dilute the content.
Dan Ivarie from The USA
I'm a Thai who lives my life over half a century as a Buddhist in a Buddhist country. All of my study and practice have been filled up with your simple terms that anyone, including my Catholic friend who introduced me to attend your lecture, can understand and follow. Your "instant unconventional meditation format" is a breakthrough technique that can be applied in everyday routine. Thank you very much indeed.
Nuanrat Padungkul from Thailand.
Sue, I want you to know how much this retreat weekend has changed my whole outlook on everything... I feel so much better and so positive and hopeful and light. I know that I was meant to be there and for sure it was no coincidence.
Stella from Sweden
Contents explained simple and very memorable. Tai chi are well explained and the exercise timing also very good. Surroundings, facilities and food are excellent. The retreat are very recommendable, my 2nd time with Supawan. I enjoyed it very much. Thank you very much.
Walter from Germany
Thank you for running this retreat which was a wonderful experience. I really noticed the difference it made, feeling very calm afterwards. I felt very supported by your teaching and by being with people who were there for similar reasons. I wish I had found this sooner.
Najma from London
Compliments to you on the retreat, well done. The people there were
enthusiastic and you held everyone's interest all the time (it seemed to me).
Eric from the USA
I felt so good from the time we started the retreat and until I came back to Singapore. Being so aware of jerry, I didn't get angry or feel anxious about deadlines.
Jenifer from Singapore
The life topics are easy to understand and the meditation techniques are easy to follow. Thank you.
Lim Pak Hoi from Malaysia
Thank you very much for your kindness in sharing your enlightening knowledge with us in both lecturing and writing. You have hugely inspired both myself and my husband (Mazaki).
Goragot from Thailand
I feel very calm and want to learn more about our life. Thank you.
Mazaki from Japan
Your books are wonderful and make Buddhism easier to understand.

Details of the Retreat
The first step of any journey, not to mention the spiritual journey, is known to be difficult. Spending three days with Supawan Green is aimed to help you to take that very first step of this long-haul journey to the ultimate truth where you can find your 'true self' and long lasting inner peace. This is the part that Supawan believes cannot be taught by writing alone: it has to be done by a direct teaching and practice.
With her teaching aids of toys figures, household objects and role play, Supawan will show you how the five elements, which constitute human life form, body and mind, works. You will learn the following:
1)Locating the nature of your 6th sense (mental self). This is a crucial stage, without your fundamental tool, you won't be able to take that vital first step. In the case that you may have been practicing vipassana for a number of years, but feel that you haven't yet progressed to a level of your satisfaction, it could mean that you haven't yet properly located the nature of your 6th sense. You may have been using your 6th sense in an obscure manner, which results in the restriction of the use of your mind's eye. By joining the retreat, your 6th sense will be properly underlined; consequently you will be able to excel in your journey.
2)Learning the skill of bringing your mental self back to your four homes: the four foundations of mindfulness. You will be taught to develop your meditation skills through your daily activities in the unconventional format.
3)Getting to know your inner battlefield between Tom and Jerry and how to keep Jerry at bay. Tom represents your mental self and Jerry represents your thoughts, memory and feelings, the carrier of all your problems.
4)Understanding the nature of your mental hologram (the Matrix world) and how to tackle the most difficult nature in the universe: mental illusion!
5)Getting to know the face of the 4th home: the innocent perception. This is when you will be able to view life in a clear perspective and end all misery.
This practice will leave you spiritually wealthy with full control over your mind. You will be able to wake up in the morning without worries hanging over your mind and allow you to live your life to the full. _________________

Hi Chris,
Glad to know you are back home safe and sound. Thank you for all your kind words too. It convinced me further that I do have a good family, can't live without them now!
We too had really great time with you and look forward to your next visit already. Please make sure you come and stay with us. As you can see, we love to have you. I will transfer the photos and send them to you, I mean Colin or Andi will have to do it.
I wonder if you plan any holiday for the end of this year. Fancy joining my here and now retreat in December 4-7, the weather will be quite cool then and the resort is brand new, lake, mountain and house boat. As we are on the hill, the sky and stars are much closer, I will take the boat out into the lake and do our teaching and tai chi on the house boat in the middle of the lake. It will be wonderful I really want you to come if you can make it.
Indeed, I am back on working on A Handful of Leaves again and decide to chop the book into 2 volumes, so, you can have a look at the chapters ready for reprint then. I will send them to you.
Have a good rest and be happy. See you again in June.
Love,
sue X

Hi,
I am looking to be a part of your retreat in December in Thailand, and I was wondering if you could possible give me the cost, and what that includes. Also, any other information you can give me about it would be great.
Thank You,
Amanda
Hi Amanda,
Thank you for your interest in the retreat. It will be 4-7 December and costs US$250 inclusive. It means that you have to make your own way to Thailand before the date. You tell us where you will stay in Bangkok and we pick you up on the morning or you may have to meet us at a well-known meeting point. We also drop you back to Bangkok on the last day. All these details will be sent to you via email nearer to the date.
You need to at least read my books and know my basic concept because the retreat will be the actual walking the path - getting to know the symbolic Tom and Jerry. The atmosphere are normally relaxed and friendly and fun - very unconventional. Be open minded and don't expect anything is what I want to say. Please read the feedback from my previous retreat in my website
Please go to my web forum and explore all the topics that might interest you.
I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Supawan |

Dear Sue,
I just wanted to confirm that due to the violence and airport blockades, the FCO has advised not to travel to Bangkok and so I won't be able
to travel to the retreat this week as planned.
I would be very grateful if you could please advise about what is happening with the retreat and those who aren't able to fly over there.
Best wishes
Najma
Dear Najma,
I was about to write to you and tell you the same thing. I don't think you will be able to make it to the retreat even though the airport open today.
The retreat will still go on as planned since there are some who are already in Thailand. I will however give you the refund. Please give me your address and I will send a cheque to you as soon as I get back to the UK in January. My husband and his brother who planned to have just a 2 weeks holiday are among hundreds of thousands who have been stranded in Thailand.
I will have to go to Germany, France and Holland for more teaching this summer (May-July), there might be at least one or two English retreat in those venues. So, if you are interested, please let me know. I will keep you informed.
The world is getting more and more crazy and harder to live. I strongly advise you to keep up with your practice learnt from me. At least, bringing your mental self back home will keep you afloat amidst these mental and emotional tidal waves.
I hope very much to see you again in my retreat.
With metta,
Sue
